I decided to give it a new chapter by setting a gorgeous faceted salt and pepper diamond into the dome using a thick, buttery 14k yellow gold bezel. The warmth of the gold against the cool brushed sterling silver is such a beautiful contrast — modern and sculptural, yet grounded in the history of the original piece. Salt and pepper diamonds have always felt special to me — no two are alike, and there's something poetic about pairing a one-of-a-kind stone with a one-of-a-kind vintage ring.
