What is a Salt + Pepper Diamond? "Salt and pepper" or "galaxy" diamonds, a term used by Misfit Diamonds, are characterized by their unique appearance, featuring a mix of white and black inclusions that resemble salt and pepper, offering a distinctive and rustic look. The Canadian origin provides a level of traceability and assurance of ethical sourcing practices, which isn't commonly available with most salt + pepper diamonds. In 2023 I studied goldsmithing for a week in Florence, Italy and we created cup shaped bezels, the 𝙴𝚟𝚘𝚕𝚞𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝙾𝚙𝚊𝚕 𝚁𝚒𝚗𝚐 incorporates that setting along with diamond pavé. I fabricated the ring and did the diamond setting, a true one of a kind.
